I think it would be really cool to see your grand children's children and their children. Get to see how the world around you has changed and the different types of music that are popular. All the technology you get to see would be great and many other things.

Death

I think death is such a popular topic because of all the speculation and theories surrounding the afterlife. Different religions and groups have their own ideas and beliefs but no one is 100% sure of what happens because we haven't died yet.

Individual or Group

I think it is good to be a mixture of both. If you're comfortable with it, go along with the group to a certain extent. But when you have a bad feeling about something, or want to do your own thing, be an individual.

Dating Game Tips

The best thing to do to make your interview memorable is to be funny, but not too cocky or over-charismatic. Try to make the people and girl laugh, but don't try to seem too cool. Don't give short answers or repeat what the person before you said, that isn't interesting at all.

Inspirational Quote

"All I'm gonna do is just go on and do what I feel." - Jimi Hendrix

This is really important to me right now, because there is a lot of drama and crap going on right now, and it seems like everyone has their two cents to put in. I'm going to do my own thing, and do what feels right to me, no matter what.

My name is Thurman, and I am a slave. I'm one of the lucky ones, my master taught me how to read and write, and he actually treats me well, as long as I do what I'm suppose to. After I get done with my work, sometimes me and the master go down to the fishing hole for a little bit. I also like going to church, me and the other slaves try to get together on Sunday mornings. When I get free, I'm going to find me a wife, get married and have kids, and live out my life by a life.

TSL Song Analysis Quiz

The song "Reflection" by Christina Aguilera, is almost parallel to the way Rev. Dimmesdale feels in The Scarlet Letter. "Look at me, you may think you see, who I really am, but you'll never know me," a few lines from the song, basically tell the man's story. He has a deep, dark secret that would strip him of his role as minister and defile his name, much like Hester's, if it is revealed. In the town's mind, he is "the saint on earth," but in his heart he knows otherwise. "I am now, in a world where I have to hide my heart," another piece of of the song, shows Dimmesdale's trouble, how he has to keep everything inside, knowing he is wrong, and even calls himself a "remorseful hypocrite". "Who is that girl I see, staring straight back at me," while Rev. Dimmesdale is not necessarily a girl, he has changed, and his image of himself has changed, he doesn't even know who he is anymore.

Disturbed

The most shocking and disturbing moment was Chillingworth looked at Dimmesdale while he was sleeping, and he was like happy about what he saw. That pretty much creeped me out.

Are You Experienced?

Touch - makes me think of my old dog Lucy. I had a pillow that felt like that and she used to chew on it all the time, and eventually tore it to pieces.

Taste - makes me think of  the first carnival I can remember going to, I ate a lot of cotton candy, and won a gold fish, but he died the next morning.

Sound - reminds me of when I got stung by a jellyfish. I used to live in Florida and went to the beach a lot, the first time I got stung I thought I was going to die. But the pretty lifeguard lady sprayed some stuff on me and I felt a lot better.
Smell - it makes me think of my grandma's house, that is always what it smells like.

Sight - it reminds me of my elementary school art class. We always did crazy stuff and the painting looks like one of our drawings.

Worst Habit

My worst habit is not getting out of bed when my alarm clock goes off. I try to lay in bed and wake up, but sometimes I fall asleep and wake up too late, which isn't good.

Worst driving experience

My worst driving experience was not in a car, it was on a four-wheeler. I was riding to my friend's house, on the road, and when I went around a curve this huge Yukon was in the middle of the road and I had to swerve off the road to avoid dying.

Scarlet Letter

I think the letter stands for adultery, but more than that, a deep sin, almost like a scar on someone's life. Knowing the meaning behind the letter will allow you to look at the letter a different way. The people of Boston view the letter as a symbol of sin and shame, failure to comply with the rules of their society. Hester views the letter a little differently. Not only does she see the horrible act she committed, she sees the wonderful gift she got, Pearl. Pearl isn't quite sure what the letter stands for, but she knows that something is different by people's reactions.

Suppression and Repression

Suppression: purposely removing thoughts or feelings from your mind.
Repression: mental process of hiding thoughts or memories that may cause stress.

Something I am suppressing is that I can't be what my parents want to be. Ever since I was little, I was super smart, and my parents have always had big dreams for me, but as I grow older, I seem to be losing those dreams. I don't want to be some big shot doctor or lawyer, I want to do something in music. That is where my heart is, and parents don't really know that... yet. Lately, all I've wanted to do was leave Laurinburg and start fresh, which hopefully I will be able to do in a couple years. I want to start my own recording studio, and bring in other musicians to make music. But basically, I won't ever able to live out the dreams my parents have for me, which kind of sucks I guess.

Freeee Daaaayyy

Today is Tuesday, yippeee. I am ready for the weekend, mostly for the first break from school. I wish school was only 4 days a week. I miss the old schedule, 7:40 is too early. I'm hungry. Didn't eat lunch today, hopefully going to Taco Bell after school. I ordered my class ring today, it looks pretty cool. Blah, I guess that's enough for today. Biography

On the day Cameron Wiggins was born, it is rumored that even Chuck Norris cried. Many stories of his birth have passed down through time, but no matter what the story says, everyone know that this was one of the most memorable days in the history of mankind. When he was a young child, his favorite hobbies included car tossing, boulder lifting, and flying to space... without a rocket ship. After finishing high school, Cameron left home searching for something, something unknown to humans. One day, while roaming through space, he found a new planet that was inhabited by weird, ape-like creatures that he called Wiggins. Not wanting to fight, he made peace with the apes, and they worshiped him, and made him king of their planet. Cameron still visits Earth, never landing, but flying through the sky, just to get a glimpse of his former home.

Knowledge of Evil

I think that people are born with the knowledge of evil because when a baby is born, it doesn't take long for a baby to start doing things that are wrong, and they have to be taught what is right.

Image #1 - This image represents fashion and beauty, but at a deeper level, what millions of women want to look like. A slim body, nice hair, good looks, and nice clothing.

Image #2 - This image shows a girl, lonely, maybe depressed, hunched over and looking sad. She looks to be all alone, almost in the dark.

Image #3 - This image shows an agreement of some sort, two men, with suits on, so it could be a business deal or transaction. It also seems that both men are white, which can be taken in many different ways.

Image #4 - This image shows a passionate sports fan, sticking up for his team by giving the opposing team an insulting hand gesture.

Response to "The Importance of Good Reading"

I learned that reading fast is not always the best thing to do, it's better to calm down and read slower. Also, I was always told that listening to music while reading was bad, but the article said that soft reading was okay, it actually helps me.
